Pathfinders of Oregon actively works to positively impact the criminal justice system around issues of parents and children. Oregon has long been a leader in seeking evidence based solutions that reduce recidivism and help families stay intact during a parent’s incarceration. Oregon has also been a leader in exploring ways to break the cycle of generational criminality that has haunted far too many families. Pathfinders is an active participant in these efforts. Pathfinders of Oregon works with elected officials and others in positions of power in order to tell our clients’ stories.
Pathfinders also works to enact systems change via the Rockwood Pathways Project, of which it is a key convener. The Rockwood Pathways Project brings together non-profits, government entities, and businesses in order to build a holistic model for familial access to health and social services.
